The mission of the Lehigh Township's Regional Traffic Safety Program is to reduce the accidental death, injury and property damage resulting from motor vehicle crashes involving intoxicated or chemically impaired operators. Furthermore, the program is intended to decrease the number of intoxicated and chemically impaired offenders on the highways of the member communities, by the occasional saturation in member communities of Sobriety Checkpoints, Roving DUI Patrols, Cops in Shops, and Mobile Awareness Patrols. We are also focused on reducing aggressive driving crashes, increasing seat belt usage and increasing safety of pedestrians.
